A girly girl's 2014 Christmas Wishlist

Friday, December 26, 2014

Sorry I'm a little late talking about holiday shopping! This year my family and I are spending Christmas a few days late because of everyone's conflicting schedules.

I didn't really have much of a wishlist this year since I pretty much shopped throughout the year. ;) So far I've received  a bottle of red wine, Bailey's, chocolates, hand lotions, a journal, $100 MAC gift card, macaroons, a Starbucks gift card, a Minions mug and a $100 Visa gift card. Not too shabby. ;)

When it comes to shopping for others, Nordstrom is honestly my #1 choice. They have such trendy brand-name gifts and I know to expect high quality items. The best part is there are so many different price ranges so you can splurge on a loved one, or you can grab more affordable gifts for work gift exchanges and so on.

Check out the cute things I was able to find just by browsing online. I sorta want them now!! Happy Holidays! :)

Brown Ombre / Balayage Hair

Tuesday, December 16, 2014

I've been obsessing about ombres and balayages lately - looking through a ton of pinterest and instagram photos to get ideas. An ombre or balayage is a good way to change up your look if you're getting tired of having a single color and want something fun & trendy.
I was craving a change from my usual light honey brown hair and wanted something a bit darker for the Winter but not dramatically dark, so I kept some light pieces throughout. I'm super happy with the results!! :)

Organix Keratin Oil Shampoo and Conditioner

Tuesday, December 9, 2014

I've used a variety of shampoo and conditioners over the past decade; from the high-end Kerastase line to a 99 cent generic brand. After finishing my third bottle of MoroccanOil shampoo and conditioner, I decided to switch it up and try a drugstore brand.
I've seen Organix/OGX time and time again at the drugstores but never stopped to try them. Because I'm a fan of Keratin-based products, I was curious to try the Organix Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil Shampoo and Conditioner.

My review:
I absolutely love the smell of the products. It's a very sweet floral scent. It's a pretty strong scent and I feel like you either love it or it could make you sick to your stomach. I personally love sweet smells. The consistency of the shampoo is a bit thick and doesn't seem to lather too much, which is exactly what I expect from a Keratin shampoo. It's supposed to keep your hair nourished and strong, so it's not meant to really strip too much from your hair. Since the shampoo doesn't provide much of a clarifying cleanse, the conditioner is extremely lightweight to help keep oil from building up.

After using the product for about two weeks, my hair was already super shiny and soft. I think this is a helpful product for people with a chemical treatment or who constantly bleach their hair and need some serious moisture TLC. I've had the Brazilian Blowout treatment in the past and if you're looking for an affordable set that will help prolong the treatment, I feel like this would be an adequate alternative. Overall, really good product and I would definitely purchase again. I kind of want to try all their different types now because I'm sure they all have yummy smells. :) You can try it here: Organix Keratin Line.

Estee Lauder Double Wear

Thursday, December 4, 2014

First off, I received this cute Benefit cosmetic travel bag when I purchased a lip gloss and mascara. I absolutely adore it because it's the perfect little bag for just your makeup necessities. I just toss it in my bag on my way to work or if I'm going away for the weekend. Really adorable design too.

I wanted to quickly post about my favorite liquid foundation at the moment. I'm currently obsessed with my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Shell Beige. The saleswoman at Bloomingdales recommended the liquid foundation after I told her I wanted full coverage with a hint of color. As soon as she tested the color on me, I was sold. Not only did it even out my reddish skin tone, but I really did have a subtle tan while still blending in with my overall skin tone. In the past, I've pretty much only used MAC Studio Fix Foundation in NW30 but I'm so glad I found something better for my skin. I just apply the foundation all over inluding my neck, and finish off with some Estee Lauder Oil-Control Pressed Powder in Light Medium. Being a makeup junkie and trying a variety of things, I really couldn't be happier with this product. I highly recommend Estee Lauder Double Wear for anyone wanting amazing coverage and color.

MAC Holiday Eyeshadow Palettes

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

I absolutely love the MAC holiday eyeshadow palettes I bought. There are three different palettes you can choose from: Plum, Smoky, and Beige. I bought the plum because I know purple shades look great on brown eyed girls. It was a tough decision between smoky and beige as both palettes had beautiful neutral brown shades. In the end, I decided on the smoky selection because it had a black-ish color I knew would someday be handy for a night out.

MAC palettes are fun because the colors are so versatile and great to play around with both a natural or a night time look. The pretty glittery casing is just the cherry on top. Can't wait to use these!

Steve Madden "Netty" Strappy Heels

Sunday, November 23, 2014

I seriously adore these Steve Madden heels. I wore them with black leggings and an off-the-shoulder, oversized gray top. I think the shoes would look so hot paired with tight jeans and a black leather jacket. Such a great pair for going on a date or a night out with the girls! ;)

Little Black Dress

Monday, October 13, 2014

I finally found a little black dress to add to my collection! I found this dress in one of those little boutiques for less than twenty bucks. Honestly, if you don't have a staple black dress, you MUST get one. It's such a handy dress to have for last minute dates, parties, and events. I find the color black to not only be a suitable color for nearly every event but it's practically flattering on everyone.

My outfit:
  • Black Cardigan: Forever 21
  • Black Dress: random L.A. boutique
  • Black leather booties: GUESS / Purchased at DSW for only $35!
  • Black studded envelope clutch: Urban Expressions / Purchased at DSW for only $35!

On a random note, I have to give a shout-out to Lavina for mentioning the word "Peplum" in my comments. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what to call the style of my dress, so thanks babe for pointing that out!
Also, a big thanks to everyone who leaves such sweet comments and for putting a smile on my face every single day! It really makes my day when I read all of the sweet messages, so thank you all! :)

Victoria's Secret Thongs / Returned iPhone 6 Plus

Sunday, October 5, 2014

Ahhhh I love bright pink and leopard!!! Check out these cute thongs from Victoria's Secret. Because I shop there all the time, VS is constantly sending promotional discounts, coupons, and gift cards. This is why I keep going back...aside from all of their cute merchandise of course. ;)

On a side note, I pre-ordered the iPhone 6 Plus and was anticipating the larger 5.5 inch screen, compared to my current iPhone 5's four inch screen. Unfortunately, it was a little bigger than I expected. I think the 5.5 screen size is great, but the phone felt a little big mainly because of the bezel area.

When I analyzed the phone, it's really well made and has a beautiful, thin sleek design. It's also pretty lightweight for its size. But after a few minutes of holding it, browsing, and snapping photos, I could already notice the weight on my wrist; and the annoying fact that when holding it with one hand, my fingers can barely reach across to the other side of the screen.

I'm sure a lot of people will love it because it is an incredibly useful phone. If you're constantly using your iPad, then this is surely a good fit. I just prefer my phone to be a little more compact. I ordered the regular iPhone 6 and I'm pretty sure I'll find the 4.7 inch screen sufficient vs. the 5.5 inch screen. I'm receiving my gold iPhone 6 tomorrow so hopefully I should be able to do a quick unboxing blog. :)

Clarisonic Mia / Clarins Everlasting Liquid Foundation and Powder

Sunday, September 14, 2014

CLARISONIC:I finally gave in and got myself a Clarisonic Mia from Bloomingdales! After weeks of reading reviews and watching Clarisonic reviews on youtube, I had to succumb. I decided on the Mia over the Mia 2 because I wanted a basic cleansing tool without all of the fuss. Plus, I honestly thought $99 was more reasonable rather than shelling out the $149 for a Mia 2 when the only real difference is an additional speed setting. I was going back and forth between the light pink, lavender, and turquoise but when I saw the lavender in person, it was just too pretty to pass up. :)
I also grabbed some makeup remover wipes from Costco for those days I need to alternate with the Clarisonic so I don't overdo the deep scrubbing.

CLARINS: I also have to share some exciting new products I sampled at Clarins today. If you aren't familiar, Clarins is a plant-based skincare and makeup line from France. I explained to the sales rep. at Bloomingdales how I have combination/oily skin and have recently experienced some breakouts along my cheeks. I also have more of a warm skin tone, and I personally favor the "dewy glow" look. When she gave me a mini makeover, I was floored at how flawless my skin looked after a single application of foundation, powder, and concealer.

The line has a silky smooth texture and truly minimizes my redness, dryness, and blemishes. I immediately had to purchase the Everlasting Powder Foundation in the color Honey 110, as well as the concealer in 02. The concealer has a light infusing effect that highlights underneath my eyes and gives me the appearance of a healthy glow. The rep. was nice enough to give me a bunch of samples so I could try out the liquid foundation in Honey and Amber. I found it to be a tad bit whitening on my skin whereas I prefer more color, but I still highly recommend wearing it and just layering a bit more bronzer.

The rep. threw in a complimentary travel kit that includes a facial scrub, toner, and makeup remover which is exactly what I need to add to my daily nighttime routine. Being in my late 20's, I really want to start focusing on taking care of my skin and using only the most highly rated beauty products. I'm going to cut this post short and run off to have fun with my Clarisonic! I am going to try it out for a bit and will possibly post a review ;) Stay tuned!

Malibu Beach Party

Sunday, August 31, 2014

So I work for an awesome social media marketing agency. My company took everyone out to Malibu for a beach party to celebrate all of our hard work and success. It was such a beautiful, sunny day in Malibu and we got to party in a beautiful beach mansion!!

I had such an amazing time (and got an amazing tan)! Good times with good people! :) Hope you all had a fun Labor Day weekend as well!
P.S. My top is from Brandy Melville and the shorts are from Forever 21. Bikini of course is from Victoria's Secret. :)

Trendy Fashion Rings

New Light Brown Hair and Forever 21 Dress

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

Some updates:
I was getting a little tired of my ombre and decided to hit the salon for an all over light brown color. I love the color - it's fun and gives off a beachy summer look. Here's a pic of my new hair (and me rocking new A/X sunglasses).

Also want to share this cute backless dress I picked up at Forever 21. I swear they have the cutest dresses. Best of all, many of their summer dresses right now are around $15! Such a steal!

Kaitlyn & G by Guess - Casual LA Style at The Park's Finest BBQ

Friday, August 8, 2014

My friend Lilian saw this restaurant on Food Network and wanted to try it out! The food was pretty unique, like the coconut beef. I would've never thought of that combination but it was interesting. My favorite was the corn bread - it was delish!

Victoria's Secret Fabulous Push Up Triangle Bikini

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

Please excuse the fuzziness of my bathroom mirror, but check out my new Victoria's Secret bikini! Super excited to finally find a bikini I absolutely adore!
Check out Victoria's Secret Swimwear if you want to browse their current bikini sale!

I'm so happy with the coral and bright colors. I wanted something that would stand out!
Best part? I spent over $65 and they gave me a free tote!! ~sigh~ Nothing better than a freebie just for shopping at my favorite store. Plus, the tote is bright pink and so roomy.

Remember my shopping list from my previous post? I can cross bikini off now finally!

Summer Shopping Haul: Floral top and bottom, Bedhead Moisture Maniac and Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy

Saturday, July 5, 2014

I went window shopping to a few boutiques in my area and had to grab these cute items!

1. First, I love the yellow floral New York tank top! I have a weakness for backless tops so when I saw the back design on this tank top, I had to grab it. Plus, adding a yellow top to your summer wardrobe is pretty much a must-have!

2. Second, I grabbed a pair of cute floral jean shorts (can you tell I'm into the floral look?) - I just think it adds a little something extra!

3. I also grabbed a small bottle of my favorite perfume: Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy. I love getting perfume at They have a variety of Juicy Couture sets, and sometimes I like to just grab the rollerball size to throw in my bag and have on the go!

4. Last on my shopping spree, I was in need of some new shampoo and conditioner. I was previously using Moroccan Oil which I absolutely love, however once in a while I need to switch it up otherwise I feel like products can build up in my hair. I saw people raving on about Bedhead Moisture Maniac Shampoo and Conditioner and that persuaded me to try it out and purchase the set. I've used it two times already and I have to say, it smells soooo yum! It also leaves my hair feeling super moisturized, but also clean. Sometimes Moroccan Oil felt a little on the heavy side because the oil is really potent, but I didn't feel that with Bedhead. Smell is really important to me for hair products and the girlier the smell the better, so that's another plus as this set has a strong floral smell. I highly recommend it.

Floral Kimono

Sunday, June 29, 2014

My family and I went to have lunch at Joe's Crab Shack on Redondo beach. I ordered a spicy combination of corn, potatoes, crawfish, and shrimp. We sat right by the water and had an amazing view!

The weather was the perfect mix of sunny and cool, so I decided to keep it casual with sandals, a beige top and navy blue skirt topped off with a new floral kimono I recently bought! To top off the relaxing day, I grabbed myself a Blue Moon too ;) (I work so much; my new thing is to treat myself to at least one drink every weekend!)

If you're interested in purchasing a similar kimono, you can find some cute ones at Forever 21. I actually need to go check it out; they have so many colors. Also some cute ones on Polyvore. I'm telling you these kimonos are EVERYWHERE NOW! Hope you all had a good weekend!

Fuschia tank top and Black Maxi Skirt with high slit

Sunday, June 15, 2014

My first fashion photos on TIFFANYXOXO.COM. :) (Much more to come.) I love outfits like these - feels perfect for a sunny day out. I find maxi skirts/dresses to be super comfortable and good for those days you just want to look casual but still trendy.

So I'm going to Downtown Los Angeles today for some good old shopping therapy! Hoping to find a few things from my "Summer Shopping List" that I keep pushing off.
Here's what's on my current list:
  • Cute sunglasses
  • Colorful flats
  • Big floppy hat for the beach
  • Bikini
  • Bracelets
  • Rings (Obsessed with those knuckle rings!!)
  • Clutch
  • Colorful dresses/tops
  • Jean shorts
Let's see if I can actually cross a few off my list today. Off to shopping! :)

Victoria's Secret Haul: Leopard bandeau bra and underwear

Sunday, June 8, 2014

I picked up this cute Leopard bandeau bra and underwear pair at Victoria's Secret. I wear a lot of backless tops/dresses and was in need for a cute bandeau to wear underneath. Bandeaus are so much more comfortable than strapless bras and this particular leopard print is the perfect peek-a-boo print especially with a black backless tank top.

There are a few other styles at Victoria's Secret that I like. You can check them all out here and see if they're still on sale: Victoria's Secret.

Groupon deal: Nikon 1 J1 Digital SLR Camera

Thursday, June 5, 2014

I told myself I would stay away from Groupon but I was bored last night and wanted to do a little online window shopping. As soon as I logged in, I saw this:

I was all over this deal!

I always typically have the Canon point-and-shoot type, but I've been wanting to invest in an entry-level DSLR type. I remember seeing this camera at a Target store and snapping shots to test it out. Not only are the pictures crystal clear, but I remember the colors being vivid and bright. The camera is also petite and chic with the different color options.

I was a little hesitant as I'm not used to purchasing refurbished goods, but as soon as I received the package, it looked as good as new!

Check it out at if you want to take part in the deal.

Or check it out at if you prefer a new one over refurbished.

Sam Edelman Nude Studded Heels

Friday, May 30, 2014

Seriously in love with these Sam Edelman studded heels. They can really change up a pair of jeans/tank combo and take it to a new level of edgy glam. For some reason, these shoes always get so many comments from men. I think they might be intimidated by the spikes! ;) I found a few on Ebay still if you want to snatch a pair. Click here to see:

Forever 21 Haul - Pajama Party

Monday, May 26, 2014

Went shopping looking to buy clothes and ended up with new PJ's instead. There were so many to choose from but I ended up going with something bright and pink, with a gray offset. I like that you can mix and match the tops and shorts too.

FYI: I bought these at Forever 21 if you like this style.
